There has been a lot of hand-wringing this week over Bo Nix missing a few reads and the Denver Broncos offense stumbling around like a drunken sailor in games.
Here’s the thing. Quarterbacks get better over time. It’s one of the few positions that doesn’t have an age wall around the 30 year mark. This is why Sam Darnold is a Super Bowl champion after spending his first six seasons as a first-round bust. He is now 30 and 30-7 over his last three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He found the right
situation.
Is he a Hall of Fame quarterback now? No, but he’s a decent starting quarterback. I would put Bo Nix well ahead schedule in comparison to guy like Darnold and I would put him on par with some of the better quarterbacks in the league after 2+ years in the league.
The idea that Denver should move on from Bo is just absurd to me. He’ll be just fine and the Nick Wright’s of the world will be in shambles when it all comes together.
It’s wild that this even needs to be said. Or would you rather have Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Brock Osweiler, Case Keenum, Joe Flacco, Drew Lock, Brandon Allen, Jeff Driskel, Brett Rypien, Kendall Hinton, Teddy Bridgewater, Russell Wilson, or Jarrett Stidham under center? In case anyone needs to be reminded how we had been living our fan lives post-Peyton Manning. 😂
