Indiana men’s basketball’s staff was in to visit Anthony Thompson, a 5-star small forward in the class of 2026 out of Western Reserve High School in Collins, Ohio, at the school, according to Dushawn London of 247Sports:
Other schools in for Thompson included Texas and Big Ten rivals Michigan and in-state Ohio
State. Thompson is a 5-star per the Rivals Industry Ranking and ranks in as the 6th highest-rated prospect nationally, 2nd highest-rated small forward and No. 1 in the state of Ohio.
His offers include the three programs listed above, Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan State and Purdue, among others. Indiana has been interested in Thompson since Mike Woodson was still leading the program.
The new staff, led by DeVries, has seemingly made a point out of recruiting some of the top players nationally, with the Hoosiers under consideration by multiple top-100 prospects. Now they just have to land one.
