Fermin Lopez has revealed that Anthony Gordon is the summer signing that has surprised him the most at Barcelona.
The Catalan giants invested in the squad in the summer by signing Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, Rodri and Gabriel Jesus as well as landing Joao Cancelo on a permanent transfer.
Lopez has now been asked which signing surprised him the most and went for the England international.
“I already knew Rodri, so I wasn’t too surprised, but I’d say Gordon,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“We’ve played against Newcastle
in the Champions League a couple of times, I think, but I hadn’t seen much of him.
“I haven’t watched many of their matches, and honestly, he surprised me a lot, and I think he’s a player who’s going to help us a great deal.”
Lopez and Gordon will come face to face on Saturday night in the Nations League when Spain face England at Wembley Stadium.
