Per the Golden State Warriors, De’Anthony Melton, who underwent surgery last December of 2024 due to a torn left ACL, “continues to make good progress with his rehabilitation.” Furthermore, Melton’s workouts have intensified while participating in scrimmages and practices with G League affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors and will be integrated with the main team’s scrimmages and practices in the coming days.
However, a return to full play is still not in the cards, at least for the month of November, as Melton
will be re-evaluated in 10 days.
Per ESPN’s Anthony Slater, it is said that the Warriors are targeting a December return for Melton, which will mark a full year since the injury.
Melton played only six games last season with the Warriors before suffering the injury and was shipped to the Brooklyn Nets for Dennis Schröder. Melton was then re-acquired by this offseason and signed a contract worth the veteran’s minimum. His return will be anticipated by the Warriors, who have had trouble shoring up the two-guard position with sufficient depth so far during the early portion of this season.
