Today, the National Women’s Soccer League have announced additional discipline to Utah Royals defender, Ana Tejada. She will now be issued an additional one match suspension, for a total of two matches.
The incident occurred in the 21st minute in URFC’s latest match against Angel City FC.
“Tejada was issued a red card at the time of the incident following a VAR review, resulting in an automatic one-match suspension. Upon further review, the Disciplinary Committee determined that the incident rose to the level
of a violation of Section 12.4.11, “Major Game Misconduct,” of the League Operations Manual.“
She will not serve the two-match suspension starting on September 27 match against North Carolina Courage and lastly on, October 3 match against Racing Louisville FC
