King Green was not happy with Esteban Ribovics missing weight for their UFC 332 showdown this weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah, which led to a heated altercation outside of Friday’s weigh ins.
In case you missed it, Ribovics failed to hit the 156-pound benchmark for his lightweight scrap with Green on Saturday’s Paramount+/CBS main card. Green, on the other hand, successfully made weight for the 32nd time under the UFC banner. This came after a brutal weight cut for Green that left him snapping at a cameraman
for asking questions (see it HERE).
While Green was happy to collect 20% of Ribovics’ purse he still didn’t appreciate the miss in weight. That led to an altercation outside of the weigh ins. Green, alongside friend and professional boxer Arnold Barboza Jr., confronted Ribovics and his team and pressed them about the scale snafu. Of course, this did not sit well with Ribovics either, which led to both teams talking smack and nearly coming to blows.
Luckily, cooler heads prevailed and nothing got too out of hand. It was still a tough spot for Ribovics as he had both Green and Barboza stepping towards him with anger. Check it out below:
“Back the f—k up! Don’t f—king touch me,” said Green. “We can get down right now!”
