One of Tennessee’s biggest 2027 targets will be on hand this weekend as the Volunteers take on Arkansas at Neyland Stadium. David Gabriel-Georges, a five-star running back out of Chattanooga, will make another trip to Knoxville coming off of a huge game last weekend. Volquest had the news this week.
The 6-0, 205 pound back put up 282 yards on 25 carries last week against McCallie, scoring three touchdowns to power Baylor to a win over rival McCallie. Gabriel-Georges solidified his standing as the
No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee with that performance, as well as his ranking as the No. 2 rated back in the country.
Tennessee has plenty of competition for Gabriel-Georges. He took visits to Ohio State and Georgia this spring and saw Ole Miss last fall. He holds offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma and dozens more.
Gabriel-Georges is originally from Quebec, Canada.
As a sophomore last season, Gabriel-Georges ran for over 1,100 yards on just 114 carries. He scored 14 times, and is already off to a hot start as a junior.
This is obviously a prospect that we’ll learn more about over the next several months, but this is a can’t miss name in this class. It’s notable how national his offer list is, and it’s extremely important for De’Rail Sims and the rest of this staff to keep him in the state.
Keep an eye on this one heading into the spring.
