The Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-2) will look to bounce back from their lopsided loss to Ohio State when they host the Purdue Boilermakers (2-3) for Homecoming at 6:30 p.m. CST on Saturday, Oct. 11.

This Week’s Thoughts:
gopherguy05:
This will be closer than many would like, but the Gophers should win this must-win game. The offense needs to get going, and the Purdue defense is a long way from the Ohio State one.
GopherNation: After seeing what it takes to compete at an elite level, they clean things up and execute.
Blake Ruane: See my opponent preview.
GoAUpher: This will be my first game in Minnesota since 2023, and I am primarily focused on winning the tailgate with Andy (gopherguy05). That said, I would appreciate it if Minnesota would play like they are better than Purdue, because they are definitely better than Purdue.
zipsofakron: Closer than we’d like but far be it for the Gophers to get back on track against a beatable opponent with a blowout. We go into Nebraska feeling okay about being 4-2.
Ustreet: Avoid the Purdue Harbor.
mowe0018: Typically, the Gophers win these types of games. Would be nice to see the defense dominate a game against Power 4 competition but that’s probably asking for too much.
WhiteSpeedReceiver: This is a nice little get right game.
wildcat00: It helps that Purdue is not very good right now. Right?
