Barcelona have reportedly been hit by an injury scare ahead of Sunday’s La Liga clash with Real Sociedad at Montjuic.
Marc Casado suffered discomfort during Barcelona’s final training session before the match and left early, according to Diario Sport.
The report adds that the feeling is that Casado should be OK for the match, but it’s obviously a worry given Barcelona’s current injury problems.
Hansi Flick has seen Gavi and Fermin Lopez sidelined recently, while Joan Garcia and Raphinha have also suffered
injuries and been ruled out in the wake of the Real Oviedo win.
The Barca boss spoke about the injury situation at his pre-match press conference on Saturday ahead of the visit from La Real.
“I think it’s not normal. You can expect some. We are analyzing the situation, what has been done in the days before… to see if we find any cause,” he told reporters.
“It’s our job, we have a great team and we’re going to analyse everything to see what we can get out of it.”
Flick will be hoping that Casado will be fit to take his place in the team as Barca face a crunch week with PSG and Sevilla to follow before the international break.
