Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy hit a solo shot for an insurance run in the sixth inning of Game 2 of the NLCS off Brewers starter Freddy Peralta, and in doing so broke a tie for the most postseason home runs in Dodgers history.
Muncy’s home run to center field expanded the Dodgers’ lead from 2-1 to 3-1 at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
Muncy’s 14 career postseason home runs break a tie with former teammates Justin Turner and Corey
Seager.

This is partially influenced by the expanded postseason and the Dodgers making the playoffs 13 years in row, including each of the last eight seasons with Muncy, though he was injured late in 2021 and did not play that October.
Duke Snider is fourth on the list with 11 postseason home runs, but all of those were hit in the World Series, totaling 36 games. Tuesday was Muncy’s 70th game, fourth-best most in Dodgers postseason history, while Turner played in 86 games and Seager 61 during his time in Los Angeles.
Muncy also has the most walks in Dodgers postseason history with 59, 21 more free passes than anyone else, and his home run scored Muncy’s 43rd run, tied with Turner for most in Dodgers postseason history.
