What is the story about?
The
Phillies are off today and that’s probably best for everyone involved. They won a game Saturday, but they’re still playing pretty badly, so maybe a day off will help them.
That and the schedule, which eases up a bit with the Giants coming into town.

- Yes the Phillies were excited to finally win a game Saturday, but they were happiest for Zack Wheeler’s return ($).

MLB news:
- The players are certainly not very happy with the firing of Alex Cora ($). Seems like there is some discontent in Boston.
- Jared Jones is going to start a rehab assignment on Wednesday, hopefully beginning his return to the Pirates.
- Francisco Lindor is looking at a three week absence, at a minimum, for his calf strain injury. He’ll need a rehab assignment after that.
