We are officially just one day from the kickoff of Kentucky Football’s 2026-2027 season.
Under the leadership of first-year head coach Will Stein, the very much new-look Wildcats seem poised to flip the script from their past several seasons.
After going 9-15 over the last two years and barely notching a winning record in the two seasons prior, a change was needed in Lexington.
Stein and his Wildcats open the season tomorrow against Youngstown State (1 PM ET on SEC Network+), where Kentucky is a significant
favorite to start the Stein Era on a high note.
ESPN’s Football Power Index is giving the Wildcats better than a 93% chance to win with the point spread set at 22.5.
The Wildcats have taken the only previous matchup between the two programs, winning 31-0 back in 2022.
While there are so many new faces on this Kentucky team, the talent is there following Stein’s success in the transfer portal.
