What is the story about?
Sidney Crosby has broken most of Mario Lemieux’s records but the current Penguin captain was behind the former one in the CHL’s listing of their top 50 players of all-time. Lemieux was named No. 1, followed closely by Crosby at No. 2.

Other Penguin related names on the list included Paul Coffey (12), Jarome Iginla (14), Marc-Andre Fleury (25), Ron Francis (38), Mark Recchi (45) and Larry Murphy (50).
Lemieux was gracious in a statement about what his time before the NHL meant to him.
Crosby, who only played two seasons in the QMJHL, is still the most decorated player in Canadian junior history.
