UFC Vegas 111 went down last night (Sat., Nov. 8, 2025) in Las Vegas, Nevada which saw Gabriel Bonfim score an electric second-round knockout win over Randy Brown in the headlining act (see it again here).
In the co-main event of the evening, Joseph Morales submitted Matt Schnell in the very first round with a slick guillotine choke (recap here).
Biggest Winner: Gabriel Bonfim
When you think of dangerous 170-pounders, Gabriel Bonfim’s name isn’t exactly the first one that jumps out at you because Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Welterweight roster is so deep. That said, the bruising Brazilian brawler has been making a name for himself and last night’s violent knockout win over “Rude Boy” put those that haven’t been paying attention to him on notice. “Marretinha’s” win pushed his win streak to three straight and improves his overall UFC record to 6-1 with his lone loss coming against Nicolas Dalby. Whether or not his latest victory puts him in the Top 10 next week remains to be seen, but Bonfim is making his move and he is coming to shake up the division one exciting win at a time. If he racks up a few more victories like last night’s he will be crashing the Top 5 sooner, rather than later.
Runner Up: Uros Medic
For the first time in nearly three years Medic has back-to-back wins after destroying Muslim Salikhov in the very first round…and it took all of 63 seconds. Indeed, Medic came out confident and aggressive and took it to “King of Kung Fu,” ultimately landing a perfect left hand that dropped his foe, with the fight coming to an end with some nasty ground-and-pound. Coincidentally enough, it’s Medic’s second straight 63-second stoppage win. Unfortunately for “The Doctor” he didn’t get a $50,ooo bonus award. Nevertheless, it’s a huge win and confidence booster for Medic, who has his own sights set on a Top 15 spot.
Honorable Mention: Josh Hokit
The UFC Heavyweight division has been getting a lot of crap as of late, but last night a new big man was introduced into the fray in violent fashion. Indeed, Hokit made his UFC debut a memorable one by knocking out Max Gimenis in a little under a minute to record his seventh straight stoppage win and improve his record to 7-0. Afterward, Hokit showed off a little bit of that personality by calling out Valter Walker in the most Chael Sonnen-way possible. Sure, some may have thought it was nothing but cringe, but in a division that needs all the stars it can get Hokit took his chance and now we wait to see what comes of it.
Biggest Loser: Mayra Bueno Silva
Remember when Silva was fighting for a UFC world title? Well, you should because that was just last year, ultimately coming up short against Raquel Pennington. Since then the Brazilian brawler’s career has taken a big nosedive as her losing streak has stretched out to four in a row following last night’s loss to Jacqueline Cavalcanti. Where it’s gone wrong for her only she and her team may know. If they don’t, then they need to figure it out in a hurry because the promotion doesn’t take too kindly to major losing streaks unless your name carries some weight and Silva’s, respectfully, simply does not.
