It’s reunion night for Aaron Rodgers, who played quarterback 18 seasons for the Green Bay Packers. In any line of work during the 21st century, that’s a long tenure. When it comes to professional football?
It’s a lifetime. Things didn’t end well for old-man Rodgers and the Pack, and he’s bounced around the Northeast between New Jersey and now Pittsburgh since that fateful meeting early in 2023.
Tonight, the Packers enter Mr. Rodgers’ neighborhood, all of its ups and downs as only Pittsburgh can offer a person looking to bridge their career. Rodgers and the Steelers are playing winning football, and they’ll remain a game in front of the Buffalo Bills if they defeat Green Bay in Week 8.
Despite the hype, these Packers are vulnerable and there’s plenty of reason to see that being true of tonight’s matchup in the Steel City. Having provided what we view as ideal rooting interests for the Bills in Week 8, you will obviously be cheering on Green Bay to spoil the moment for Rodgers and his new friends.
Things didn’t go Buffalo’s way on the out-of-town scoreboard, where the Los Angeles Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers all won.
Some will say the move is to root for a Steelers win to push the Ravens further down and ultimately out of the playoffs. It’s a take I’d prefer to adopt once the Bills are back near or at the top of the AFC’s playoff pecking order.
Here’s your thread for Week 8 of Sunday Night Football. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills, and Go Pack, Go!
