At one point German winger Brajan Gruda was a primary transfer target for Bayern Munich, but a transfer did not work out at the time.
Back in 2024, Gruda chose to leave Mainz 05 and move to Brighton & Hove
Albion. Now 21-years-old, Gruda is starting to put together a plan for his career and the youngster
“There was interest at the beginning, of course. But I can’t say more than that,” Gruda told Sky Germany’s Kerry Hau (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “My biggest dream is to play in the Champions League and the national team. I want to play for a top club like Bayern, Real, Barcelona or Liverpool.”
Gruda has three goals and three assists in 20 games across all competitions this season, while playing primarily as a right-wing and attacking midfielder. While you can never say never, it does not feel like Gruda has gotten to the level required for Bayern Munich.
Sure, Gruda still has time, but a callup to the German national team might be the first step for him to get to a bigger club. Gruda’s contract with Brighton runs through the end of the 2027/28 season.
