20th-ranked Mizzou is off to a 4-0 start entering Homecoming week against UMass. The Tigers’ last performance in their SEC opening win against South Carolina in front of a sold-out crowd probably impressed
some defensive line recruits. Allowing a total of negative nine rushing yards will do that.
Defensive lineman DeMarcus Johnson, the No. 2 ranked JUCO product in the country has committed to Missouri — he announced this afternoon.
Johnson becomes the 11th addition to Mizzou’s 2026 recruiting class and the first among the defensive line position. Last season at the JUCO level, Johnson had 29 total tackles (8.5 TFLs), four sacks, two pass breakups, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
Johnson officially visited Mizzou on June 20th and chose Missouri over LSU, Houston, Mississippi State, and USC. For more coverage on this addition to the 2026 class, visit RockM+ for more.
