The Bears announced jersey numbers for their 2026 offseason additions in a post on X on Tuesday.
For the most part, the new jersey numbers announced belonged to players Chicago signed in free agency this year. However, there’s a trade acquisition in the mix, along with two players who were already in the organization and have since changed their numbers.
The jersey numbers that were released on Tuesday are as follows:
- S Coby Bryant: No. 2
- WR Jahdae Walker: No. 9
- LB Devin Bush: No. 12
- WR Kalif Raymond: No. 14
- DB Cam Lewis: No. 21
- LB Nephi Sewell: No. 45
- LB Jack Sanborn: No. 57
- C Garrett Bradbury: No. 67
- OT Jedrick Wills Jr.: No. 71
- DT Neville Gallimore: No. 90
- DT Kentavius Street: No. 93
- DT James Lynch: No. 97
The Bears’ big addition in free agency this year was safety Coby Bryant, who had four
interceptions and ranked No. 11 in the NFL by PFSN’s SAF Impact Scoring with the Seahawks last year. He takes on the No. 2 jersey that was previously worn by wide receiver DJ Moore, whom the Bears traded with a fifth-round pick to the Bills for a second-round selection.
Bryant previously wore No. 8 in his four years in Seattle, honoring the late NBA star Kobe Bryant, whom he was named after. The No. 8 jersey was already taken by kicker Cairo Santos on the Bears’ roster, though the No. 24 jersey that Kobe made famous in the second half of his NBA career was available.
Of the players announced, Jahdae Walker and Nephi Sewell were the two who were already in the organization prior to the start of free agency. Walker, an undrafted free agent signing last season who caught six passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie, was previously No. 20. Sewell, the older brother of fellow Bears linebacker Noah Sewell, signed to Chicago’s practice squad on Jan. 13 and signed a futures contract the following week. He was previously No. 96.
Jack Sanborn makes his return to the Bears after spending the 2025 season with the Cowboys. In his previous three seasons he had spent in Chicago, he wore No. 57 and now claims that number again upon his return. Defensive lineman Jonathan Garvin wore that number for the Bears last season, but he wasn’t active for a regular season game.
