Excitement is in the air. For many, many years the Spurs playoff runs have coincided with the annual Fiesta heritage celebration. This year, the Silver & Black are once again making a run into the postseason just as the citywide celebration kicks off. For eleven days a series of festivals, concerts, parades and arts & culture events take up residence throughout San Antonio.
And for the unindoctrinated, the keepsake of the spring festivities are fiesta medals.
The Spurs have revealed their lot.
This
year’s mementos include a tribute to everyone’s favorite mascot, The Coyote. The El Coyote medal is features the varmint in a mariachi sombrero and is adorned with flowers, trumpet, maracas, and a guitar.
The Los Spurs medal is in the team’s traditional silver and black highlighting the iconic logo with San Antonio recognizable skyline in the background.
San Antonio’s Futbol Club features a soccer ball design anchored by the club’s crest at the center, with goalie gloves on each side.
And finally, there is a special Spurs Fan medal.
“The Spurs Fan medal features a vibrant, Fiesta-inspired design highlighted by a central basketball motif, symbolizing the spirit of the game and the city’s love for the Spurs. Surrounding the basketball is a decorative floral pattern with colorful accents. The top of the medal showcases a bold “San Antonio Spurs” wordmark beneath a “Fiesta 2026” header, while a dangling Spurs logo charm that adds movement and an extra touch. Finished with bright, celebratory colors and intricate details, the medal captures the essence of San Antonio’s favorite season.“
