After his team’s 5-1 victory over Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany could not deny his squad’s goal scoring prowess.
However, do not expect Kompany to put any focus on the possibility of breaking the Bundesliga goal scoring record of 101-goals.
“At the moment that’s not a priority for me. Of course, we want to be offensively strong and score many goals as FC Bayern, the fans demand that, too,” said Kompany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “No doubt about it. It’s a strength
of our team. My priority is to always have the feeling that we can always score. The boys are doing that amazingly well at the moment.”
Clearly, before Kompany can think about any records, he has trophies on his mind. That quest will continue on Wednesday as the Bavarians square off with RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal in what should be a terrific match.
