Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua left Thursday’s practice with a calf injury and will be listed as limited on the injury report. The Rams are already dealing with the loss of Davante Adams for 6-10 weeks, and now Nacua is in danger of missing Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Are the L.A. Rams having the worst injury week in franchise history?
The Rams placed Kobie Turner on injury reserve this week,
as well as Poona Ford. They did not active Myles Garrett from IR and there is no imminent return expected for Terrance Ferguson. L.A. also placed kicker Blake Grupe on IR with a torn ACL. Trent McDuffie was held out of the last game and his status for Week 7 is also uncertain.
This is just a historically bad week with the addition of Nacua to the injury report, and he already sat out weeks two and three.
For Nacua, the 2026 season also represents a turning point in his life financially. The Rams have not extended him despite being a superstar and a 2027 free agent, likely partially related to his injury history, as well as his off-field exploits. Now Nacua is on a 2-4 team that is falling well short of expectations and putting players on IR left and right, it’s hard to not think of this as a repeat of 2022.
That’s when the Rams started off the season so bad that by the end of the year it felt like everyone was on IR, including Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and Aaron Donald.
If Nacua misses this game, Stafford’s top-two targets would be anyone’s guess.
