As the Buffalo Bills offense finally got things going as they started the second half trailing the Miami Dolphins by a score of 16-0, their number one pass catcher for the day pulled up grabbing at his hamstring.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid hobbled off the field and headed to the medical tent as the Bills kept extending their second half opening drive. Not great news for a Buffalo team that didn’t even manage 100 yards in the first half of play. Kincaid had 37 yards, making two catches on three targets.
As the Bills drive sputtered inside the ten and ended with quarterback Josh Allen unable to find a target on a third and goal, ultimately throwing an interception, Kincaid stood on the sideline, helmet in hand. As the drive ended, Buffalo announced that he was questionable to return and he headed to the locker room.
If the third-year tight end can’t return to play, the Bills will have to rely on Dawson Knox and rookie Jackson Hawes. However, Buffalo has been using all three tight ends regularly through the first nine weeks of the season, so the loss of Kincaid will change play calling for offensive coordinator Joe Brady for sure.
