Jade Cargill has now made it known in no uncertain terms that she wants Paul Heyman as her manager.
On Wednesday, The Storm blew her way into the studio for 8 News Now — a local CBS affiliated station in Las Vegas — to preview her upcoming match against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 this weekend.
During the interview, the station’s JC Fernandez asked Cargill if there was someone in wrestling that she looked up to while growing up. The WWE Women’s Champion didn’t hesitate by answering with Chyna.
“I
didn’t see women who looked as muscular as I was,” Cargill said. “[To] see her go out there, owning the stage — I was like, that’s what I want to be.”
Fernandez then noted how Chyna once won the men’s Intercontinental Championship and asked Cargill if she would be interested in trying to do the same.
“Of course, if they let me,” Cargill answered before pitching another idea for WWE Creative.
“Listen, I would love Paul Heyman to be my manager if I’m going that route,” she said. “But, if they let me, I would love that, and I would take over for sure, of course.”
“You’re unstoppable now, but I imagine you with Paul Heyman would be next-level,” Fernandez offered.
“Let it happen, guys. Let it happen,” Cargill replied.
A Cargill/Heyman alliance would make history. Although Heyman (as Paul E. Dangerously) managed Madusa (Alundra Blayze in WWE) during the late 1980’s in WCW, he’s never worked on-screen for a female wrestler during his time in either ECW or WWE.
WWE’s official online shop may sell a “I’m a Paul Heyman Girl” t-shirt, but Cargill could officially lay claim to that distinction if she aligned with The Wiseman for a run against the men’s roster.
Of course, if her Heyman plan doesn’t come to fruition, Cargill could still fall back on having Danhausen in her corner. Late last month, after Jade noted she couldn’t use curse words on television, Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil offered up his services to her on social media.
“Do you want to help Danhausen curse?!” he wrote on X (Twitter).
Jade responded while seemingly throwing shade at Jelly Roll, at least that’s who she seemingly referred to a “fruit roll up” in her response to Danhausen. (Ripley had just appeared in a SmackDown segment with the music superstar.)
“Yes please. I mean she has fruit roll up on her side,” Cargill posted in response to Danhausen.
What do you think? Would you like to see Cargill managed by Heyman? Let us know in the comments.
