In a new set of NFL quarterback rankings, the Arizona Cardinals do not have a passer ranked within the top 32.
Yes, you read that right. The Cardinals’ presumed starter in Jacoby Brissett is not ranked among the top 32 quarterbacks in the NFL, despite actually being one of the 32 expected to start for a club this year. Mike Sando of The Athletic has Brissett ranked 33rd out of 35 total quarterbacks, which include players like Shedeur Sanders, Michael Penix Jr., and J.J. McCarthy who are in tight battles
with Deshaun Watson, Tua Tagovailoa, and Kyler Murray, respectively.
The Cardinals are also spending some of the most money on the quarterback position in the entire NFL thanks to the $36.8 million they are handing Murray in guaranteed money despite him being a member of the Vikings this season.
