WWE’s developmental brand is taking its show on the road next Tuesday (Nov. 18), and will film two episodes of NXT in Madison Square Garden’s The Theater after the company’s main roster Raw brand runs MSG proper the night before.
Both episodes will bear the “Gold Rush” name, and feature four championship matches a piece (at least so far). Next week’s show airs live, and gets the bigger matches… most of which happen to be for NXT’s own belts. One of those is a straight-up Halloween Havoc rematch, and another
sort of is… but now that Sol Ruca’s cleared, she’ll fight on her own for the title Zaria lost for her at last month’s premium live event:
- Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s championship
- DarkState (Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox) (c) vs. Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater for the NXT Tag Team titles
- Blake Monroe (c) vs. Sol Ruca for the NXT Women’s North American championship
- Ethan Page and Chelsea Green (c) vs. Joe Hendry and Thea Hail for the AAA Mixed Tag titles
Around broadcasting those matches live, NXT will tape the Nov. 25 episode (so they don’t have to work U.S. Thanksgiving/Survivor Series week). The four matches likely to be spoiled all have another brand name attached to them… either the developmental level below NXT, a gimmick belt created for a social media platform, or a partner promotion:
- Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Lei Ying Lee for the TNA Knockouts title
- Fallon Henley vs. Zaria in the finals of the WWE Women’s Speed Championship Tournament
- Jackson Drake (c) vs. Sean Legacy for the Evolve Men’s championship
- Kendal Grey (c) vs. Laney Reid for the Evolve Women’s title
Excited for those two weeks of rushing for gold?
