Friday May 29th
Charlie Edwards vs Sikho Nqothole (DAZN, 2:00 pm ET)
BLH will have live results and updates
From York Hall in London, England. This is another Misfits “MF Pro” show, where the emphasis is on people who have some level of primary identification in combat sports, rather than YouTube pranksters or OnlyFans models.
Edwards headlines, and he’s a legit fighter, Top 15 across all four major sanctioning bodies at 115 lbs. Nqothole is 31, and you’ve never seen him unless you keep a close eye on the South African boxing scene (or maybe catch the occasional show in Swaziland or Botswana). Only one
pro fight outside of South and southern Africa, a decision loss to Rene Calixto in Mexico back in 2024.
On the undercard: One notable domestic matchup, with James Osborne and Ollie Cooper facing off for a vacant British super middleweight title. Outside of that and the main, only two fighters on the bill have 10 or more pro fights, and one of those is 2-25 (1 KO) Jose Aguirre. Prelims start at 12:45 pm ET.
DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Red Owl Boxing – BOXFEST XVIII
From Allentown, Pennsylvania. Main event is a super featherweight tilt between Deonte Brown and Yohan Vasquez. Chief support is Nikoloz Sekhniashvili, who you may have seen in his only pro losses to Jahi Tucker and Guido Schramm, fighting Ivan Dancha, a Ukrainian residing in Pittsburgh.
Saturday, May 30th
Dmitry Bivol vs Michael Eifert (DAZN, 11:00 am ET)
BLH will have live results and updates
From Ekaterinburg, Russia, for Bivol’s IBF and WBA (and IBO!) light heavyweight titles. Bivol’s WBO belt is not on the line and Bivol can not lose it here, as the WBO has classified this a non-title bout due to the venue being in Russia.
Bivol hasn’t fought since his decision win over Artur Beterbiev in their February 2025 rematch. There hasn’t been a trilogy match set yet, so Bivol finally faces his IBF mandatory challenger here. Eifert earned that spot back in March of 2023 with a win over Jean Pascal, and has patiently waited for his mandatory shot ever since. His only action in the last 39 months was a six-rounder in 2024, so he’s very fresh and rested!
On the undercard: FIVE other fights of 10 or 12 rounds! Vadim Tukov vs Sebastian Papeschi (middleweight), Mukhammad Shekhov vs Yerny Betancourt (super bantamweight), Sergey Lubkovich vs Michael King (welterweight), Vsevolod Shumkov vs Christian Oliva Barreda (featherweight), and Nikita Zon vs Nahuel Garcia (super middleweight).
BBC2, 3:30 pm ET, Adam Azim vs Steve Claggett
From Wembley Arena in London, England. No confirmed US option, but our UK friends can watch and tell us all about it.
This was originally set for January and an Adam Azim-Gustavo Lemos matchup. But both men hurt themselves in training camp, and Lemos pulled out of the rescheduled date, too. Into the gap steps Claggett, with eight defeats among his 50 pro fights. Your most recent exposure to him (unless you’re Canadian) was a near-sweep decision loss to Teofimo Lopez back in 2024.
Stick around after on BBC2 for back-to-back episodes of Top of the Pops, covering 1993 and 1994. Remember Ace of Base? Remember that Wet Wet Wet cover of “Love is All Around” that spent four months dominating radio and MTV Europe? What a time to be alive and at or near the top of the pop charts!
Nothing But Sportz, 7:00 pm ET, Yuriorkis Gamboa vs Alexander Espinoza and Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Jose Velasquez
From Fort Lauderdale, Florida, an undeniable Top 5 (and arguably Top 3!) Fort city in Florida, and either the #1 or #2 Florida Lauderdale, depending on how much you like the beach at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.
Anyway… Nothing But Sportz, a live streaming app I’ve never heard of that seems to be freely available on Roku, Android, Apple, and Fire TV, brings you the latest from Gamboa (a Cuban 44 years old) and Rigo (Cuban 45).
Gamboa fights officially for the first time since 2022, and hasn’t won a sanctioned fight in just shy of seven years. Rigo fought last in November of 2024, so presumably not as much rust on him.
I’m pretty sure you can watch this, and I’m pretty sure it’s free. So, give it a try, maybe? What else are you doing that’s so important you can’t show a little respect to a pair of champions that are a combined 99 Cuban years old? Don’t be rude. At least take a quick look before the 8:00 pm shows kick off, okay?
Stephanie Han vs Holly Holm 2 (ESPN, 8:00 pm ET)
BLH will have live results and updates
From El Paso, Texas, for Han’s WBA lightweight title. This one is a rematch of their January meeting, which Han won by technical decision after an accidental clash of heads. Both women called for a rematch in the aftermath, and here it is! They’re scheduled for 10 three-minute rounds.
On the undercard: Lots of notable names, as is custom for these MVP on ESPN shows. Amanda Serrano defends her WBO and WBA featherweight belts against Cheyenne Hanson in another 10 rounds x 3 minutes fight. Yokasta Valle moves up from 105 to challenge Lourdes Juarez for the WBC light flyweight title. And IBF and WBO middleweight champion Desley Robinson faces former super welterweight champ Mary Spencer. Prelims start on ESPN+ at 3:30 pm ET.
O’Shaquie Foster vs Raymond Ford (DAZN, 8:00 pm ET)
BLH will have live results and updates
From Houston, Texas, for Foster’s WBC super featherweight title.
Foster was last seen in December, winning a decision and an interim lightweight title against Stephen Fulton. But, he’s elected to stay at 130 lbs., where he’ll defend his full title in a hometown fight.
Ford was the WBA featherweight champ for just shy of three months back in 2024, losing that crown to Nick Ball by split decision in his last fight at the weight. He’s 3-0 at super featherweight, all by decision and most recently over Abraham Nova in August of last year.
On the undercard: Recent Matchroom signing Charlie Sheehy appears, as does local hero Miguel Flores. Olympic bronze medalist Omari Jones is scheduled for eight rounds for the second time as a pro.
