When it comes to Philadelphia, few things are as synonymous with the city as a Wawa hoagie. So it’s no surprise that the company has a history of partnering with the area’s major sports franchises. Wawa has been the official hoagie of the Eagles since all the way back in 2015. This past June, the chain also became the official hoagie of the Phillies with a Hoagiefest-themed game to mark the occasion. Wawa also partnered with the Flyers for a limited-edition Gritty smoothie during last season’s playoff
run. So it was only a matter of time for the company to complete the 4-for-4 partnership, and today is that day.
Wawa is now the official hoagie and breakfast sandwich of the Sixers, with a pep rally at the Penrose Avenue location to celebrate. Personally, as someone who did many a grab-and-go on his way to work in his early twenties, I’m glad the breakfast sandwich is finally getting some shine. Here’s the official release from 76ers Public Relations with the full details:

A tour bus wrapped in hoagie paper? It doesn’t get more Philadelphia than that. Any new Sixers players wanting to experience the heart of this city’s quirkiness would just need to head to South Philly later this morning.
