Former Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka made a surprising return trip to Säbener Straße, but not because he was going to ink a new deal with the club.
The Germany international needed to return his car. As it turns out, that company car that Bayern Munich provides via Audi does need to be returned:
In Tz, journalists Philipp Kessler
and Mano Bonke broke down exactly what was going on:
On Friday morning, the German international suddenly reappeared at the training ground on Säbener Straße, making a surprise Bayern Munich comeback. However, the midfielder only showed up in “civilian” attire, wearing a black tank top, black shorts, and beige clogs. As Absolut Bayern learned, he has returned his company Audi. During his brief visit, Goretzka greeted his former Bayern teammates Serge Gnabry and Lennart Karl from afar. The duo are continuing to work on their comebacks.
Goretzka is still working on “what’s next”, but there is still plenty of time to figure out his future. Unfortunately, he might need to bum a ride to any prospective meetings.
