Former UFC 135-pound champion Merab Dvalishvili will collide with ex-UFC bantamweight contender Marlon Moraes as part of the upcoming RAF fight card on Nov. 14 in Abu Dhabi. Their bout serves as a rematch from their UFC 266 matchup, which saw “The Machine” unplug Moraes in the second round.
Dvalishvili is coming off losses in both RAF and UFC.
After getting pinned by Henry Cejudo at RAF 12 back in August, the Georgian came up short in his Petr Yan rematch at UFC 333, failing to reclaim the 135-pound
crown. As for Moraes, who is now a cop in South Florida, he returned to competition last summer with a unanimous decision victory over Maximiliano Perez at LMC 2 in São Paulo, Brazil.
“Magic” is three years older than “The Machine” at 38.
RAF Abu Dhabi will be headlined by the cruiserweight crossover title fight pitting Khamzat Chimaev against Colby Covington, a bout that lost some of its intrigue after watching “Chaos” embarrass himself against Raul Rosas Jr. earlier this week in Italy. Elsewhere on the RAF Abu Dhabi fight card, Arman Tsarukyan wrestles Neiman Gracie, for some reason.
