EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants top three offensive tackles returned to the practice field on Thursday, one day after all were held out of practice due to injuries.
Left tackle Andrew Thomas (groin), right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (calf), and swing tackle Marcus Mbow were all practicing in some fashion on Thursday.
Defensively, the news was not as good. Starting inside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and starting cornerback Greg Newsome II (concussion) did not practice for a second
straight day. Tight end Chris Manhertz (calf) also missed practice.
Safety Jevon Holland, who is in the concussion protocol, was a limited practice participant. Cornerback Paulson Adebo, who was designated to return from IR this week, was another limited participant.
Defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson said this about Adebo:
“He’s healthy right now. We’ll see how it all plays out. I just love having the young man back out there, man,” Wilson said. “His energy, his personality, back asking questions. We’ll see how all that shakes out in terms of who plays or not, but he’s been a very good player in the National Football League, and if he gets his opportunity to play, we expect him to play well.”
Punter Jordan Stout remained on the injury report for a second straight day, but special teams coordinator said “I don’t have any concerns” about Stout.
