Real Madrid is experiencing some real drama lately. Never mind a 2-1 El Clásico win over FC Barcelona and a five-point cushion atop the LaLiga standings after 11 matchdays — all is not well with the Spanish
giants.
Center to this is the apparent discontent of mega-talented winger Vinicius Júnior and the reported friction between him and first-year head coach Xabi Alonso. As captured by Tz:
Madrid – The recent Clásico against FC Barcelona was a complete triumph for Real Madrid. But despite the 2-1 victory, the events surrounding Vinicius Jr. overshadowed the game. When he was substituted, the Brazilian behaved anything but professionally: He refused to shake hands with coach Xabi Alonso and made angry comments that were picked up by the microphones. “Always me! I’m leaving the team!” he fumed.
The report goes on to say that Real president Florentino Pérez is getting impatient with the threat to team cohesion at the Bernabéu, and that Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise is viewed as an alternative:
Olise brings everything that Vinicius lacks: focus, team spirit, and consistency. His playing style perfectly matches the requirements of coach Xabi Alonso. While Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund has emphasized that there is no pressure and that they can imagine Olise staying in Munich long-term, Real Madrid’s interest could change the situation. According to e-noticies, Olise is being touted in Spain as a clear replacement for Vinicius.
Bayern has no intention of giving up one of its key players, however. “If it were up to us: the longer he stays, the better,” sporting chief Max Eberl has already stated as the Bavarians contemplate a new contract extension for the France international.

No. Stay away, Real, and thank you.
