Real Madrid secured a dramatic 2-1 win at the Spotify Camp Nou against Barcelona in Sunday night’s La Liga Clásico, with Kylian Mbappé scoring his seventh and eighth goals in the fixture to seal the three points for José Mourinho’s side.
107 – Victories for Real Madrid, compared to 106 for Barcelona
Heading into this tie, each of the two teams had won 106 league meetings, but the balance now tips in the favour of Real Madrid after they secured their first win at Spotify Camp Nou since October 28th, 2023, almost three years ago. With only one win in the last six
Clásicos before this meeting in Barcelona, Real Madrid have made sure that they’re back on top.
100 – Real Madrid goals for Kylian Mbappé
If there’s a time to reach a landmark goal for Real Madrid, it’s probably when looking for a winner in the final minutes of a Clásico. Two goals at Camp Nou made it 100 for the club for Kylian Mbappé, 67 coming in the league, with 25 in the Champions League, four in the Copa del Rey, and one each in the Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.
39 – Games without an assist for Eduardo Camavinga before setting up the winner
Eduardo Camavinga hadn’t claimed an assist for Real Madrid since a 5-2 win over Olympiacos in November 2025, 39 appearances ago, but then created arguably his best assist for the club yet as he cut back to Kylian Mbappé after beating Pau Cubarsí. Mourinho spoke of how he asked him to attack the spaces, and praised him for doing so from the second line in difficult circumstances.
13 – Duels won by Jude Bellingham
If anyone out there looked up for this game, it was Jude Bellingham. He won an impressive 13 duels, four more than any other player on the field. What’s more impressive is that he only lost two ground duels from 15 attempts. He also recovered possession six times and made five tackles in an all-action performance as he also recorded a 100% success rate for long balls and dribbles.
6 – Games unbeaten for Mourinho as Real Madrid coach in a Clásico
With a tactical masterclass, Mourinho has now won four and drawn two of the last six Clásicos. The only people to have gone further were Miguel Muñoz between 1962 and 1965 as he reached seven wins, and Vicente del Bosque between 2001 and 2003 with two wins and five draws. Only Muñoz (16) and Carlo Ancelotti (nine) have now recorded more Clásico wins than Mourinho on six, tied with Francisco Bru, Luis Molowny and Zinedine Zidane.
10 – Years since Real Madrid beat the league leader at their stadium
Not since April 2016 have Real Madrid overcome the current league leaders in their own back yard. That time it was also a Clásico win at Camp Nou, when Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo scored in a 2-1 win which ultimately did little to impact the title race. This time around, with the deficit down to three points, it could be a different story.
