After watching the Dallas Cowboys for the first eight games of the season, it’s become clear that they need help. The team has been beaten up all throughout the season to the point where their injury report looks as long as a CVS receipt. Injuries to the offensive line, cornerback, and linebacker have led to a disjointed football team that lacks cohesion on the field and is desperately clinging to remain in the postseason picture.
Facing an Arizona Cardinals team that has gotten the better of them
in seven of their last eight meetings, the Cowboys need to have all hands on deck to get a W in the column against an NFC opponent. Following Thursday’s injury report, here’s what we know about the health of the team.
The Cowboys are also depleted at the safety position. However, a couple of their safeties were seen on the practice field today. Juanyeh Thomas (migraine) was a limited participant. Meanwhile, Malik Hooker (toe) and Donovan Wilson (elbow/shoulder) were practicing with the rehab group. Wilson was officially designated as a DNP today. Hooker doesn’t appear quite ready to return this week. Wilson, who missed last week’s game with an elbow injury, could be back against Arizona despite the DNP to start the week.
As for some players fans are clamoring to have on the field, DeMarvion Overshown (knee), was a limited participant today. Overshown was seen leaving practice with the training staff but not it’s believed to be anything concerning. Center Cooper Beebe (ankle) was a full participant to start this week’s preparation, and rookie cornerback Shavon Revel (knee) was also limited.
For Arizona, quarterback Kyler Murray has missed the last two games with a foot injury and was seen at the Cardinals facility on Tuesday, warming up. Reports are they feel like he will play.
