The No. 21 Hawkeyes work to build on last Saturday’s performance before taking on Northwestern for a 6:30 PM CT game in Evanston.
The University of Iowa Athletics Department has officially released its Week 10 depth chart as the Hawkeyes travel to the newly reconstructed Ryan Field to take on the Northwestern Wildcats.
The OR continues at quarterback for Hank Brown and Jeremy Hecklinski, which may become status quo for the remainder of the season considering Brown’s 20/24 passing performance against
Wisconsin.
Will Nolan replaces Lucas Allgeyer at right guard this week.
The center position continues to list Cael Winter as the starter. Winter left Saturday’s game at the end of the third quarter and headed to the medical tent. He was replaced by back up Michael Myslinkski so we shall see when Kirk Speaks later this week.
Xavier Williams continues to be listed as the starter on the depth chart. Backups continue as Nathan McNeil OR Braeden Jackson. LJ Phillips is not listed again this week.
Iowa has now climbed back into the AP Top 25 Poll and is ranked No. 21 and stands at 6-2 overall (bowl game eligible!) and 3-2 in the Big Ten. Northwestern dropped out of the rankings this week after losing at Oregon. Northwestern is also 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference. At 3-2 in the conference, Iowa and Northwestern are tied for fifth place in the B1G, along with four other teams (meaning a total of six teams are tied for fifth place).
Northwestern’s new stadium, Ryan Field, officially opened on October 2. 2026, replacing the dilapidated 1926 stadium. It was designed with fan engagement in mind and includes the all-standing “Wildcat Wall” student section positioned near the end zone. With a seating capacity of 35,000 it is the smallest stadium in the Big Ten Conference.
