Gabriel Jesus couldn’t hide his delight after landing in Barcelona to complete a transfer to the Spanish champions from Arsenal.
“I’m very happy. Hopefully we win many titles,” he said after being met at the airport by reporters.
Jesus was also asked about his knee, after recovering from an ACL injury, and said: “The knee is perfect and I want to score lots of goals.”
The Brazil striker is now set to undergo a medical with the Catalan giants before signing a two-year deal at Camp Nou, with the option
for an additional year.
Jesus will then join Karim Adeyemi and Anthony Gordon as part of a revamped Barcelona attack for the 2026-26 season.
Barcelona have reportedly paid a €10 million fixed fee for Jesus plus another €5m in add-ons.
Hansi Flick’s side have moved for the Arsenal star after losing Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres this summer and seeing Atletico Madrid refuse to negotiate a deal for Julian Alvarez.
