Now that Robert Saleh has been hired as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, our attention turns to who he will hire as his offensive coordinator. He has spent a lot of time around some really good offensive coaches. That gives him a pretty deep roster to choose from. Here are some of the names with connections to Saleh (from our friend Melo on Twitter:
Mike McDaniel, former Miami Dolphins head coach
McDaniel is the belle of the ball. I would have been happy with McDaniel getting the head coaching job here. He might be the best offensive innovator
in the league right now. He’s a hot name, but there are some pretty strong rumors out there that he would love to coach with Saleh.
Brian Daboll, former New York Giants head coach
Daboll is another guy who interviewed for the head coaching job with the Titans. His tenure with the Giants didn’t go well, but there is no question that he can coach offense. In Daboll’s last two years as the offensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills, the offense ranked in the top three in total yards and points scored.
Adam Stenavich, Green Bay Packer offensive coordinator
Saleh spent time as an analyst for Matt LaFleur and the Packers after he was fired by the New York Jets in 2024, where Stenavich is the OC. Stenavich started his NFL coaching journey with the 49ers as an assistant offensive line coach before moving to Green Bay with LaFleur. In his time in Green Bay, he has moved from offensive line coach to run game coordinator to offensive coordinator for the last four seasons.
Bobby Slowik, Dolphins senior passing game coordinator
Slowik is another guy who has spent a lot of time in the Shanahan tree. He did nice work with CJ Stroud in his rookie season with the Houston Texans. Things didn’t go as well in Stroud’s second year, and he was fired by DeMeco Ryans. He spent last season with McDaniel in Miami.
Mike LaFleur, Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator
Mike LaFleur was Saleh’s offensive coordinator for his first two seasons in New York. That didn’t go very well, but Sean McVay thought enough of Mike to hire him as the OC with the Rams following those two seasons. He might be primed for another shot.
