Chiefs Get Fan Favorite Broadcast Team for Week 3 vs. Dolphins | Heavy Sports
The Chiefs will take on the Dolphins at noon CST on CBS Sunday with Kevin Harlan and Trent Green on the call (H/T Farzin Vousoughian). Harlan and Green are fan favorites among Chiefs fans as they both have past ties to the organization and the city of Kansas City.
Harlan graduated from the University of Kansas in 1982. He was briefly a basketball commentator for KU, as well as for the NBA’s Kings when they were in Kansas City. Harlan also called basketball and football games for the University of Missouri from 1986-1989. Chiefs fans mainly remember Harlan as the team’s play-by-play radio announcer from 1985-1993.

If you remember preseason Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Benson struggled at right guard. The biggest problem on the road against an opposing crowd was that the Chiefs went silent. There were multiple times when he was slow off the snap because of the silent count.

The Huskers will open their 2027 season against Miami (Ohio) on Aug. 27, a Friday.
In 2025, Nebraska opened the season against Cincinnati at Arrowhead, defeating the Bearcats 20-17. The Cornhuskers’ leading rusher that game was Emmett Johnson, who became a Chiefs fifth-round draft pick this year.
The game will mark the fourth appearance at Arrowhead by Nebraska. The Cornhuskers played the first game between FBS opponents at Arrowhead in 1998, when they defeated Oklahoma State.

Dozens of service members from Whiteman Air Force Base were among those who spent the afternoon playing tailgate games and eating pizza outside Arrowhead Stadium as part of a partnership between Humphrey and Little Caesars’ Love Kitchen.
“They’re the real heroes,” Humphrey, now in his sixth season with Kansas City, said. “So, any chance we had to be able to give back and help out, it’s an awesome opportunity.”

Mahomes was outstanding on Sunday, through a combination of making layups, working the pocket, and connecting on big plays down the field.
The Chiefs offense has been firing the first two weeks of the season, but seeing Mahomes turn in a big performance on Sunday should be a sign to the rest of the NFL that he is well on his way back to prime form.
