Signing bonus and Ghost years
Lowe’s signing bonus is $2.78 million. The 49ers are spreading that bonus out over five years, despite signing a two-year deal. That allows the team to lower his cap number. So, Lowe’s bonus is for $556,000 through 2030.
Base salary, option bonuses, and guarantees
Lowe will receive $5.75 million in guarantees. He gets $1.64 million in 2026 and $1.25 million in 2027. Add in the signing bonus through 2030, and that’s how we get to the full guarantee allotment.
The base salary for Lowe over the next two seasons is $1.3 million and $1.7 million, respectively.
Lowe does not have an option bonus in 2025. He has a $522,000 bonus every year through 2031. Lowe also has a per-game roster bonus totalling $680,000 for the first two years. The maximum he can earn in each season is $340,000. So, $20,000 per game. Add in another $100,000 in each year for a workout bonus.
Cap numbers and contract ranking
Lowe’s cap number in 2026 is only $2.19 million. In 2027, it goes up to $3.21 million. Those are modest numbers for a backup offensive lineman. If you’re wondering, his contract ranks him 27th out of 114 left tackles in the NFL–which includes all contracts, even rookies.
