Two Indiana football legends are under consideration to be named to the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame, per an official release from the NFF. Former Hoosier quarterback Antwaan Randle-El and running back Vaughn Dunbar are on the ballot for the class of 2027.
Voting will take place among the 12,000 NFF members and current Hall of Fame inductees with results announced in early 2027.
Randle-El played for Indiana from 1998-2001, earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 1998 before
All-Big Ten honors in 1999, 2000 and 2001. He was the first player in Football Bowl Subdivision history to pass for 6,000 yards and rush for 3,000 yards in his career, having rushed for more yards than any other quarterback in FBS history upon his graduation. He was named a First Team All-American and the Big Ten’s Most Valuable Player as a senior in 2001.
Dunbar played for Indiana from 1990-91 after a brief career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. He led the nation in rushing in 1991, totaling 1,805 yards on the ground, en route to being named a First Team All-American.
