The Dallas Mavericks (19-30) are home on Tuesday night, playing the Boston Celtics (31-18) on NBC/Peacock. This is the last game for the Mavericks before the trade deadline. Dallas comes into this one
on a frustrating losing streak, most recently falling to the Rockets. Boston is playing well lately, winning to straight against the Sacramento Kings and the Milwaukee Bucks
Heres the main things you need to know before tipoff.
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Boston Celtics
- WHAT: One more national TV game
- WHERE: Toyota Center, Houston, Texas
- WHEN: 7:00 pm CST
- HOW: NBC/Peacock
The injust report for Dallas is what’s become standard. Ryan Nembhard should suit up tonight, he’s listed as probable and the same can be said for Moussa Cisse. PJ Washington is out due to concussion protocol. D’Angelo Russell is out with an illness. Brandon Williams is doubtful with a right leg injury. Then, of course, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively, and Dante Exum are out. The Celtics will be without Anfernee Simons, who got traded today, and Chris Boucher is out due to personal reasons.

This is going to be a tough one for the Mavericks. Dallas is without many bodies again and the Celtics are the kind of team which plays with exceptional effort (just like Dallas does). Containing Jaylen Brown is the main priority, followed by not getting shelled from three. Dallas tends to give up threes by design though so this one has a chance of getting ugly.
However! The Celtics don’t have anyone who should bother Cooper Flagg too much. I’m looking forward to another national showcase from him following this game.
Consider joining Josh and me on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start LATE. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
