The Pittsburgh Steelers continued their final round of OTAs on Thursday, and there was a notable name not present.
Per Chris Halicke of DK Pittsburgh Sports, wide receiver Roman Wilson was not present for Thursday’s practice.
“Roman Wilson was missing among the wide receivers during the window open to the media,” Halicke writes. “He was not on the field and not participating in any of the drills while the media was permitted to watch practice.”
Halicke adds that the reason for Wilson’s absent is unknown.
Wilson is one of multiple veteran Steelers on the fringe of making the roster or being cut. In two seasons, he has 12 catches and was a healthy scratch in multiple games during the final weeks of the season.
The Steelers have one more practice of OTAs on Friday before letting out until July 28 when they report for training camp.
