For Pride of Detroit, we are tasked with fielding questions from Detroit Lions fans, and this week’s question focuses on which position group fans will be watching most closely in this weekend’s preseason game against the Washington Commanders.
The Lions still have several positional battles to sort out during training camp, and the preseason gives players a great opportunity to separate themselves from
the competition. Several intriguing storylines are also worth following, including how specific groups are building chemistry and where younger players have grown in their development. But which group of players battling for a spot on the roster piques the fans’ interest the most? That’s what we want to know with this week’s survey.
Which group will you be watching most closely in Lions vs. Commanders game?
For this poll, we have given fans five options to choose from: Offensive skill players, offensive line, defensive line, linebackers, and the secondary.
Position battles at each position group include:
- Offensive skill players: QB2/3, RB4, TE4, WR5/6
- Offensive line: Starting center, left guard, OL9/10
- Defensive line: All interior depth roles
- Linebackers: LB5, LB6
- Secondary: Starting nickel, safety, CB3, depth
