A day after being released, veteran cornerback Shaquill Griffin has gone from the Seattle Seahawks active roster to the practice squad.
The Seahawks announced on Thursday that Griffin, who returned to the Seahawks earlier this summer, has joined the practice squad in place of defensive tackle Anthony Campbell, who made the initial squad but has since been let go. Seahawks general manager John Schneider told reporters on Wednesday that the plan was to have Griffin stay around, having released him to make
room for former Los Angeles Rams cornerback Derion Kendrick.
Griffin, like anyone else on the PS, can be a gameday elevation up to three times before they must either remain on the practice squad for the rest of the season or be signed directly to the active roster.
There’s really not much else to add other than the expectation that we could see more practice squad moves coming within the next couple of days.
