There was a lot of violence traded between Jai Herbert and Mandel Nallo for a fight that lasted just over two minutes. In the end, Herbert survived the storm and caught Nallo with a big right hand that dropped his opponent to the canvas. He didn’t let Nallo get back up, earning a TKO stoppage at 2:05 of round one.
“Yo Canada, you enjoyed that or wha?” Herbert yelled to a largely unresponsive crowd (Nallo fights out of Vancouver). “Canada, is that $100 grand or what? C’mon, help me out!”
“I was coming
here to get the finish and that was it,” he added. “So when he hurt me four times, I knew I was gonna get the finish. He backed me up, and I knew I’d get the counter.”
The victory puts Herbert back in the win column after a split decision loss to Chris Padilla in March 2025. It’s been a rough five years for Jai, who is now 4-4-1 over that time period.
That was Mandel Nallo’s UFC debot after punching his ticket to the big league off a first round TKO on Contender Series in September 2025. The loss drops him to 14-4 in MMA.
