Today begins the Chargers’ first full week off since mandatory minicamp came to an end last Thursday. Everyone is getting some much-deserved time off to rehab and relax ahead of training camp which will come up fast in July.
If you have not had a chance to see, the NFL posted the training camp report dates for every, including when first-year players and veterans report specifically.
For the Chargers, their batch of rookies will report on July 23rd which is just barely over a month away. They will have
five days days to themselves with the staff to get acquainted and up to speed on how professionals handle the camp life and routine before the veterans return. It helps everything flow smoothly into full-camp mode and helps avoid unforeseen hiccups that may arise once both groups come together officially.
It’s honestly quite crazy, in my opinion at least, how fast this offseason has seemed to go. But that’s what we all want, right? Let’s hurry up and get to the season so we can see what this team is made of as they begin a new offensive era under Mike McDaniel, as well as a new (but not quite) defensive era under Chris O’Leary.
