Luke Rockhold has his sights set on a second backstage throwdown with controversial grappler Dillon Danis following their “scuffle” earlier this week in Manchester, England.
Both Rockhold and Danis will compete on today’s Misfits Boxing 22 card LIVE on DAZN, but that didn’t stop the two fighters from mixing it up earlier this week. This included some trash talk during the pre-fight press conference
along with their backstage brawl. They’ll both need to win their respective fights on Saturday to set up a potential grudge match, but Rockhold doesn’t need a professional setting to get his hands on Danis again.
During a recent interview with Misfits Boxing, Rockhold explained what went down behind-the-scenes with Danis earlier this week and threatened Round 2 once he sees the chatty grappling again.
“Well, he walked out of the elevator, I walked in” said Rockhold (shown in the above video player).
“He talked his sh-t, and he got clapped. That’s what happens, little b—ch-ass troll.”
“I see that motherf—ker, round two, he’s gonna get it,” Rockhold added.
Danis, who was last seen losing a boxing match to Logan Paul in 2023, has trained with Rockhold before and claims he’s gotten the best of the former UFC middleweight champion.
“I used to train with [Rockhold],” said Danis earlier this week. “I used to play around with him. He used to be begging me to train him. ‘Oh, please help me for my fight,’ and now you turn on me. He’s washed up now. He’s 40 years old looking for some kind of fight. I don’t know what the hell he’s doing. But I used to train with him. He shook my hand. He’s like KSI. They talk a lot, but there’s no action.”
So, fight fans, how will this rivalry play out? Will we ever get to see Rockhold vs. Danis inside of the ring?
Let’s discuss!
