It was business as usual for Steelers kicker Chris Boswell. In his 11th year with Pittsburgh, he looked as sharp as ever, knocking in two field goals and four extra points for the team. Boswell was able to seal a victory for the Steelers with a 60-yard field goal, good for the longest field goal of his career. Boswell was recognized as the best special teams player in the AFC on Wednesday.
The veteran is coming off the best season of his career, in which he attempted a career-high 44 field goals for Pittsburgh, making 41 of those attempts. Boswell earned First Team All-Pro honors for the first time in his career, while also being named to the Pro Bowl for just the second time in his career.
Boswell continues to be a crucial part of the Steelers year after year, and it seems like it won’t be stopping anytime soon. After Boswell’s late-game heroics on Sunday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin called Chris Boswell a “serial killer” due to his ability to always seem cool, even when all of the pressure is on him. To go along with his cool new moniker, Boswell now has his first award of the 2025 season.
