The Kentucky Wildcats are adding some depth to their wide receiver room before the transfer portal closes on January 16th. Brock Coffman, a Lexington native, has signed with Kentucky, Pete Nakos announced.
Coffman redshirted his freshman year and will have four years of eligibility remaining.
Coffman was a 3-star WR at Sayre School in Lexington. In Rivals Industry Rankings, Coffman was the No. 12 WR in the state in the 2025 class. During his senior season, Coffman played in 14 games, totaling 89 receptions, 1,387 yards, and 24 touchdowns. He also won the 1A state championship with Sayre.
The 6-foot, 180-pound wide receiver saw limited playing time with the Cardinals this past season. Coffman made his season debut this past season in the opener against Eastern Kentucky.
The Wildcats have added three wide receivers via the portal in the past week or so. Head coach Will Stein is loading up the offensive side to ensure the Wildcats are explosive in 2026, but he’s still in need of more firepower at wide receiver to ensure that happens.
Unfortunately, Texas transfer DeAndre Moore will not be a part of those plans.
On Tuesday, Moore committed to Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes, according to Hayes Fawcett. Kentucky was in heavy pursuit of the talented wideout, but they couldn’t overcome what’s believed to be a major payday from Colorado.
Moore entered the transfer portal this offseason after three seasons with the Longhorns, where he appeared in 36 games. Over the last two seasons (27 games), he had 77 receptions for 988 yards and 11 touchdowns.
On to the next one.
