It’s that time of year when we start to say goodbye to the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll as the College Football Playoff rankings are set to be unveiled this week… but not yet. In the latest version, we see minimal move, emt for Notre Dame as they stay at No. 4 in the AP Top 25 and No. 5 in the Coaches Poll.
While the Irish didn’t move much, there was plenty of movement around them. I don’t expect the CFP Committee to look all that similar to what we see in these polls, but instead I expect the Irish to be
in the top 10 — just not the top 5.
Notre Dame’s 35-13 win over Navy didn’t move the needle for anyone (as it never does) but this week’s game against the No. 1 ranked Miami Hurricanes is certainly a game that can help cement Notre Dame’s place in making the CFP, plus a bump up in the rankings.
