The Dallas Cowboys held a press conference to close the 2025 season on Wednesday, something that we hope we never have to speak of again. The future is all anyone cares about right now and there is a lot
of work to be done in that regard. We all know that the Cowboys are not a team who believes a ton in free agency, obviously that is always subject to change, but there are a lot of spots on the roster that are going to need to work and improvement.
Stephen Jones was asked where the Cowboys need to improve and specifically noted that linebacker and secondary were positions of concern.
A mock draft published at ESPN on Tuesday had the Cowboys addressing those two exact spots with their first-round picks (remember they hold Green Bay’s) so this is pretty obvious and not exactly news to anyone (not saying this in any way towards Stephen). The Cowboys have obvious needs which makes fixing things easy in that there are a lot of choices, but it makes it difficult to get it all done in one offseason.
